Synopsis:

Violet can sense the echoes of those who've been murdered—and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Only those closest to her know what she is capable of, but when she discovers the body of a young boy she also draws the attention of the FBI, threatening her entire way of life.

As Violet works to keep her morbid ability a secret, she unwittingly becomes the object of a dangerous obsession. Normally she'd turn to her best friend, Jay, except now that they are officially a couple, the rules of their relationship seem to have changed. And with Jay spending more and more time with his new friend Mike, Violet is left with too much time on her hands as she wonders where things went wrong. But when she fills the void by digging into Mike's tragic family history, she stumbles upon a dark truth that could put everyone in danger.

My rating: ★★★★★

I loved this book!! It was amazing!! So naturally I was ecstatic when I found out that Kimberly was going to add at least two more books to the series…Kimberly, you rock!!! :D

This book starts off with Violet and Chelsea going to Seattle…a girl’s night out type of thing. It was supposed to be fun, right? Well, it was…until Violet stumbled upon an echo. Turns out it was the body of a little boy which she found in a shipyard. She couldn’t get to it because the body was inside one of those cargo ship containers, so she figured that it wouldn’t hurt if she called the police anonymously and tip them in on the information.

Too bad that backfired, because now the FBI is interested in talking to Violet. Dun, dun, dun!!!!!

That’s not the only thing that’s going on though; someone has been leaving Violet very cryptic messages. A dead cat, a creepy “Roses are red, Violets are blue” note, and hang up calls. Violet has no idea who could possibly be doing this to her. Until she sees the same echo that belonged to the cat that was left for her in someone’s house while she was out for a run. Someone new in town who is going to the same school Violet goes to O.O

Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE Violet and Jay’s relationship! I hate to seem them apart! But there's something about this Rafe guy...

Anyway, I need to find me a Jay of my own ;) Can’t wait for the books to come!!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
